This wine proudly bears the Luján de Cuyo Denominación de Origen Controlada (D.O.C.) designation—the very first D.O.C. established in the Americas in 1989 to safeguard the traditional character and exceptional quality of the region's Malbec. Sourced from historic, high-altitude vineyards in the clay-loam soils of Luján de Cuyo, the grapes are hand-harvested from old vines that yield concentrated, expressive fruit. The wine undergoes traditional fermentation followed by aging in French oak barrels, resulting in a classic Mendoza profile.
