Bodega Norton's 'Privada' was originally crafted as an exclusive blend reserved solely for the Swarovski family and their personal guests, kept hidden away in the family's private cellar. Due to its extraordinary quality and the insistence of those privileged enough to taste it, the winery eventually released it to the world. Sourced from the estate's oldest, low-yielding vineyards in Luján de Cuyo—some of which exceed 80 years of age—this wine is a harmonious marriage of Malbec, Cabernet Sauvignon, and Merlot. Each variety is fermented separately before being blended and aged for 12 to 16 months in French oak barrels, followed by additional bottle aging. The result is a sophisticated, deeply concentrated wine that represents the pinnacle of Norton's traditional blending expertise, showcasing rich dark fruit, elegant spice, and a velvety, structured finish.

Founded in 1895 by English engineer Edmund James Palmer Norton, Bodega Norton is one of the oldest and most prestigious wineries in Argentina's Luján de Cuyo region in Mendoza. In 1989, the historic estate was acquired by Austrian businessman Gernot Langes-Swarovski, who modernized the facilities while preserving its rich heritage. Today, the winery is celebrated for its high-altitude viticulture and commitment to expressing the unique terroir of the Primera Zona. Norton is particularly renowned for its structured, age-worthy Malbecs, such as the iconic Gernot Langes blend and the Reserva Malbec, alongside vibrant white wines like Torrontés and Chardonnay.
