This rare collector's case brings together six exceptional vintages (2001 through 2006) of Ornellaia, one of the founding pillars of the Super Tuscan movement in Bolgheri. Established in 1981 by Marchese Lodovico Antinori, the estate lies in a unique maritime microclimate where clay, gravel, and sand soils are cooled by gentle sea breezes from the Mediterranean. The wine itself is a classic Bordeaux-style blend of Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Cabernet Franc, and Petit Verdot. Each parcel is harvested and vinified separately to preserve the distinct voice of the terroir, then aged for approximately 18 months in French oak barriques. This specific span of vintages represents a golden era of Bolgheri, showcasing the estate's evolution toward ultimate elegance, structural complexity, and a profound sense of place.
