Bodegas Osborne, established in 1772 by English merchant Thomas Osborne Mann in El Puerto de Santa María, is one of Spain's oldest and most iconic wine houses, famous worldwide for its silhouette of the bull. The 'Santa Maria Cream' is a classic sweet Sherry that pays homage to this historic port city, which forms one of the three vertices of the famous Sherry Triangle. Crafted by blending dry, oxidatively aged Oloroso Sherry (made from Palomino Fino grapes) with naturally sweet Pedro Ximénez, this wine undergoes traditional aging in American oak casks using the Solera and Criadera system. The result is a rich, mahogany-hued wine that beautifully marries the nutty, toasted character of Oloroso with the luscious, dried-fruit sweetness of PX, representing centuries of Andalusian winemaking heritage and the tempering maritime influence of the Bay of Cádiz.
