✨ Technical Specifications
Osborne's Vintage Port represents a harmonious bridge between Spanish sherry heritage and Portuguese winemaking tradition. Founded in 1772 by Thomas Osborne Mann, the historic house of Osborne expanded its expertise to the steep, schistous slopes of the Douro Valley. Sourced primarily from premium vineyards in the Cima Corgo subregion, this Vintage Port is crafted only in exceptional years. The blend relies on traditional Douro varieties like Touriga Nacional, Touriga Franca, and Tinta Roriz. Following traditional foot-treading in granite lagares to maximize extraction, the wine is fortified and aged in large oak vats for approximately two years before being bottled unfiltered. This minimal intervention preserves its intense dark fruit character, powerful structure, and profound aging potential, embodying the legendary resilience of Douro's terroir.
