Named in honor of Lady Rosa O'Neill, the resilient and noble wife of the 17th-century Irish patriot Owen Roe O'Neill, this Syrah is a tribute to strength, grace, and historical elegance. Sourced from premier, high-elevation vineyard sites within Washington State's acclaimed Yakima Valley, the wine reflects the dramatic diurnal temperature swings and ancient volcanic and alluvial soils of the region. Winemaker David O'Reilly employs minimal intervention and small-batch fermentation, followed by careful aging in French oak barrels. This traditional approach coaxes out the grape's deep, dark fruit character, complex savory undertones, and the signature cracked black pepper finish that defines world-class Washington Syrah.

Founded in 1999 by winemaker David O'Reilly and Jerry McNally, Owen Roe was established with a mission to craft world-class, terroir-driven wines from the premier vineyard sites of the Pacific Northwest. Named in honor of the 17th-century Irish patriot Owen Roe O'Neill, the winery operates estate facilities and sources fruit spanning both Washington's Columbia and Yakima Valleys and Oregon's Willamette Valley.
