Sourced from one of the most prestigious and historic sites in the Pacific Northwest, the Owen Roe Seven Hills Vineyard Cabernet Sauvignon is a masterclass in Walla Walla Valley terroir. First planted in 1980, the Seven Hills Vineyard is situated on the southern side of the appellation, where vines thrive in deep, wind-blown loess soils. This unique terroir imparts a distinct elegance and complexity to the Cabernet Sauvignon, characterized by refined tannins, vibrant acidity, and signature notes of dusty cocoa, dark cherry, and dried savory herbs. Winemaker David O'Reilly employs minimal intervention and traditional small-batch fermentation, followed by meticulous aging in French oak barrels to allow the vineyard's ancient soil signature to shine through. The result is a sophisticated, age-worthy red wine that beautifully honors the pioneering spirit of Walla Walla Valley grape growing.

Owen Roe blev grundlagt i 1999 af vinmageren David O'Reilly og Jerry McNally med en klar ambition om at skabe terroir-drevne vine i verdensklasse fra de ypperste vinmarker i Pacific Northwest. Vingården er opkaldt efter den irske 1600-tals-patriot Owen Roe O'Neill og råder over egne faciliteter samt opkøber druer på tværs af både Columbia Valley og Yakima Valley i Washington samt Willamette Valley i Oregon. Owen Roe arbejder ud fra en filosofi om minimal indgriben, hvor nænsom vinfremstilling og en velafbalanceret fadlagring bringer det unikke særpræg frem fra berømte marker som DuBrul, Red Willow og Union Gap. Huset er særligt anerkendt for sine nuancerede enkeltmarks-vine på Cabernet Sauvignon, Syrah og Cabernet Franc samt populære og karakterfulde blends som Sinister Hand, Ex Umbris og Abbot's Table.
