Hailing from the picturesque eastern shores of Lake Garda in the Veneto region, Pasqua's Chiaretto di Bardolino is a vibrant celebration of one of Italy's most historic rosé traditions. The name 'Chiaretto' derives from the Italian word for pale or clear, a style popularized in the late 19th century by Senator Pompeo Molmenti, who brought French winemaking techniques to the region. Crafted from local Veronese varieties grown in glacial morainic soils, this wine benefits enormously from the mild, Mediterranean-like microclimate created by Lake Garda. The grapes undergo a brief maceration on the skins to extract a delicate, pale pink hue and bright red-berry aromas, resulting in a refreshing, mineral-driven rosé that captures the breezy, sun-drenched essence of its lakeside origin.
