Hailing from the stony terraces of the Crozes-Hermitage appellation, 'Les Jalets' takes its name from the ancient French word for the smooth, round pebbles ('jalets') deposited here by retreating alpine glaciers. These stones absorb the heat of the Rhône sun by day and radiate it back to the vines at night, imparting a distinctive warmth and mineral complexity to the wine.
