Hailing from the wind-swept slopes of the Ventoux appellation in the southern Rhône, Paul Jaboulet Aîné's 'Les Traverses' Blanc is named after the traditional dry-stone retaining walls ('traverses') built to terrace the steep hillsides and prevent soil erosion. Dominated by the imposing presence of Mount Ventoux—the 'Giant of Provence'—this terroir benefits from a cooler microclimate than much of the southern Rhône, allowing the grapes to retain a vibrant, refreshing acidity. Crafted primarily from Grenache Blanc and Clairette, this wine is vinified entirely in stainless steel tanks to preserve its bright, aromatic profile. It captures the essence of the Provençal countryside, offering a beautiful balance of white flower aromas, stone fruit, and crisp mineral undertones.

Founded in 1834 by Antoine Jaboulet in the northern Rhône Valley, Paul Jaboulet Aîné is one of France's most iconic wine estates, renowned for its historic vineyards and uncompromising quality. Now owned by the Frey family and guided by winemaker Caroline Frey, the estate has transitioned to certified organic and biodynamic viticulture across its legendary holdings, which span prestigious appellations like Hermitage, Crozes-Hermitage, and Cornas. The house is globally celebrated for its flagship Syrah, Hermitage "La Chapelle," alongside expressive white wines and the accessible, classic Parallèle 45 range. Through meticulous parcel-by-parcel vinification and aging in French oak, Jaboulet continues to craft elegant, terroir-driven wines that define the character of the Rhône.
