The Parallèle 45 takes its name from the 45th parallel north, which passes just two kilometers from the historic cellars of Paul Jaboulet Aîné in Tain-l'Hermitage. Since its introduction, this cuvée has served as a classic, reliable benchmark for the Côtes du Rhône appellation. The white expression is crafted from a blend of traditional regional varieties, primarily Grenache Blanc and Marsanne, grown on clay-limestone soils. To preserve its vibrant aromatics and crisp acidity, the wine is vinified and aged entirely in temperature-controlled stainless steel vats. This approach yields an incredibly fresh, expressive white wine defined by notes of white peach, citrus blossom, and a clean, mineral-driven finish that captures the sun-drenched terroir of the Rhône.

Founded in 1834 by Antoine Jaboulet in the northern Rhône Valley, Paul Jaboulet Aîné is one of France's most iconic wine estates, renowned for its historic vineyards and uncompromising quality. Now owned by the Frey family and guided by winemaker Caroline Frey, the estate has transitioned to certified organic and biodynamic viticulture across its legendary holdings, which span prestigious appellations like Hermitage, Crozes-Hermitage, and Cornas. The house is globally celebrated for its flagship Syrah, Hermitage "La Chapelle," alongside expressive white wines and the accessible, classic Parallèle 45 range. Through meticulous parcel-by-parcel vinification and aging in French oak, Jaboulet continues to craft elegant, terroir-driven wines that define the character of the Rhône.
