Named after the 45th parallel north, which runs just two kilometers from the Jaboulet cellars in Tain-l'Hermitage, Parallle 45 has served as a global ambassador for the Ctes du Rhne appellation since its first release in the 1950s. This legendary boundary line marks the transition into the sun-drenched south of France, a terroir reflected in the wine's vibrant and generous character. Crafted primarily from Grenache and Syrah sourced from vineyards with clay, limestone, and stony soils, the wine is vinified in stainless steel and concrete vats to preserve its bright, spicy berry fruit and approachable structure. It stands as a historic benchmark for everyday Rhne elegance, combining the structure of the north with the warmth of the south.

Founded in 1834 by Antoine Jaboulet in the northern Rhône Valley, Paul Jaboulet Aîné is one of France's most iconic wine estates, renowned for its historic vineyards and uncompromising quality. Now owned by the Frey family and guided by winemaker Caroline Frey, the estate has transitioned to certified organic and biodynamic viticulture across its legendary holdings, which span prestigious appellations like Hermitage, Crozes-Hermitage, and Cornas. The house is globally celebrated for its flagship Syrah, Hermitage "La Chapelle," alongside expressive white wines and the accessible, classic Parallèle 45 range. Through meticulous parcel-by-parcel vinification and aging in French oak, Jaboulet continues to craft elegant, terroir-driven wines that define the character of the Rhône.
