Sourced from the historic Buddha's Dharma Vineyard in Mendocino County, this exceptional white wine is a tribute to California's old-vine heritage. Planted in 1944 on a high-elevation, dry-farmed site, the vineyard is tended with mindful, organic practices by a dedicated Buddhist practitioner, giving the site its spiritual name. Pax Mahle crafts this Chenin Blanc with a minimalist approach, employing whole-cluster pressing, native yeast fermentation, and aging in neutral French oak barrels. The result is a wine of striking purity, showcasing the intense minerality, vibrant acidity, and waxy texture characteristic of ancient Chenin Blanc vines.

Pax Wines blev grundlagt i 2000 af Pax og Pam Mahle og er et anerkendt vinhus beliggende i Sebastopol i Sonoma County, Californien. Vingården er kendt som en pioner inden for 'New California'-bølgen og har særligt fokus på kystnære terroirs med køligt klima i Sonoma og Mendocino County. Hos Pax arbejder man ud fra en minimalistisk, klassisk europæisk tilgang til vinfremstillingen med brug af helklasegæring, vildgær samt modning på neutrale franske egetræsfade og betontanke for at bevare renhed og friskhed. Vinhuset er især berømmet for sine stilskabende, mineralske og krydrede Syrah-vine – herunder aftapningerne fra Sonoma-Hillsides og Alder Springs Vineyard – foruden dynamiske, terroirprægede fortolkninger af Gamay, Chenin Blanc og historiske druesorter.
