This wine is a tribute to those pioneering vines, combining Cabernet Sauvignon and Shiraz sourced from premium California vineyards. True to the Penfolds house style, the wine undergoes maturation in American oak barrels, resulting in a rich, structured red that marries the dark fruit profile and structural tannins of Cabernet with the plush, spicy generosity of Shiraz.
