First created in 1962 by the visionary winemaker Max Schubert, Bin 60A was an experimental blend that went on to dominate the show circuit, winning an unprecedented 19 trophies and 33 gold medals. This rare masterpiece, recreated only in select exceptional vintages like 2004, represents the pinnacle of the classic Australian Cabernet-Shiraz blend. It marries the structural elegance, fine tannins, and leafy cassis of Coonawarra Cabernet Sauvignon with the rich, opulent, dark-fruited power of Barossa Valley Shiraz. Penfolds blev grundlagt i 1844 af dr. Christopher Rawson Penfold og hans hustru Mary på Magill Estate i South Australia og er i dag et af Australiens ældste og mest ikoniske vinhuse.
