✨ Technical Specifications

This highly collectible release represents a landmark creative partnership between Penfolds and the visionary Japanese designer Nigo, celebrating the heritage of Australia's most legendary red wine. At its core, the wine is the classic Penfolds Grange—an icon of multi-regional South Australian blending perfected by Max Schubert in the 1950s. Sourced from exceptional, low-yielding vineyards across regions like the Barossa Valley, McLaren Vale, and Magill Estate, the wine is dominated by powerful Shiraz with a small addition of Cabernet Sauvignon. It undergoes traditional fermentation and extensive maturation in 100% new American oak hogsheads. The Nigo edition wraps this historic, muscular, and profoundly complex wine in a contemporary cultural aesthetic, bridging the worlds of fine wine and luxury design.

🍾 About the Producer

Founded in 1844 by Dr. Christopher Rawson Penfold and his wife Mary at the Magill Estate in South Australia, Penfolds is one of Australia's oldest and most iconic wine producers. The estate achieved legendary international acclaim during the 1950s under visionary chief winemaker Max Schubert, who created Penfolds Grange and revolutionized the country's winemaking techniques. Driven by a celebrated philosophy of multi-regional and multi-varietal blending, Penfolds sources exceptional fruit across historic Australian terroirs—such as the Barossa Valley, McLaren Vale, and Coonawarra—as well as select premier global regions. The house is universally revered for powerful, impeccably structured, and long-lived wines, led by its flagship Grange, Bin 707 Cabernet Sauvignon, and celebrated Bin series.
