✨ Technical Specifications
Pereira D'Oliveira's Boal Reserva represents the classic medium-sweet style of Madeira, crafted from the noble Boal grape grown on the steep, volcanic terraces of the island. The Boal grape is celebrated for its ability to balance rich, dark sugar notes with a vibrant, searing acidity. Under the traditional canteiro system, the wine is aged in seasoned oak casks in the warm upper lofts of the lodge, undergoing a gentle, heat-driven oxidation that mimics the historic ocean voyages of the 17th and 18th centuries. This slow maturation develops complex layers of dried fruits, warm spices, and burnt orange peel. D'Oliveira's signature style emphasizes a deep, savory complexity and a remarkably long finish, reflecting centuries of family winemaking heritage on the island.
