✨ Technical Specifications

Pereira D'Oliveira's Colheita Boal is a masterclass in the medium-sweet style of Madeira, sourced from the noble Boal grape grown on the warm, sun-drenched volcanic slopes of southern Madeira. Under the traditional canteiro system, the wine is aged in seasoned oak casks in warm attics, undergoing a slow, gentle oxidation that concentrates its sugars, acids, and complex aromatics. This process yields a dark, mahogany-hued nectar with an intense bouquet of dried fruits, warm spices, toffee, and a distinct smoky complexity. Historically, Boal was highly prized by 19th-century merchants for its voluptuous texture and longevity, and D'Oliveira continues this legacy by aging their Colheitas far longer than the legal minimum, offering a profound taste of Madeira's liquid history.
