✨ Technical Specifications
Pereira D'Oliveira's Malvasia represents the pinnacle of the sweetest style of traditional Madeira, historically referred to as Malmsey. The Malvasia grape, introduced to the volcanic soils of Madeira in the 15th century, thrives in the island's sun-drenched coastal vineyards. D'Oliveira ages this fortified wine using the traditional canteiro system, placing the seasoned oak casks in warm lofts to undergo a slow, natural heating and oxidative process over decades. This intense concentration yields a luscious, mahogany-hued wine rich with notes of dark molasses, dried figs, roasted coffee, and exotic spices, all perfectly balanced by Madeira's trademark searing volcanic acidity.
