Crafted by the historic house of Pereira D'Oliveira, this 10-Year-Old Medium Dry Madeira represents a beautiful marriage of tradition and the unique island terroir of Madeira. The wine undergoes the traditional canteiro aging process, where it is placed in seasoned oak casks and matured in the warm upper lofts of the cellars in Funchal. This gentle, natural heating coaxes out rich, oxidative complexities over a decade. Historically, Madeira's unique character was discovered during the Age of Discovery, when wines fortified for long sea voyages returned tasting remarkably improved from the heat of the tropics. Today, D'Oliveira honors this legacy, producing a medium-dry style characterized by a brilliant amber hue, vibrant acidity, and a complex bouquet of dried orange peel, toasted nuts, and subtle spice.
