Originating from the sun-drenched terroirs of the Southern Rhône Valley, Pierre Henri Morel's Vacqueyras highlights the rich soil diversity of an appellation nestled near the Dentelles de Montmirail. Vacqueyras was elevated to full Cru status in 1990, celebrated for producing powerful yet finely balanced red wines. The vineyards sit on alluvial terraces laden with clay, limestone, and rounded stones (galets roulés), which store heat during the day and warm the vines at night. Dominated by Grenache alongside Syrah and Mourvèdre, this cuvée undergoes traditional vinification with controlled extraction to retain freshness. It presents a rich sensory profile characterized by ripe blackberry, dark plum, cracked black pepper, and distinct dried garrigue herbs, framed by firm, velvety tannins.
