✨ Technical Specifications
Founded in 1785 by Florens-Louis Heidsieck, Piper-Heidsieck is one of Champagne's iconic houses. Unlike non-vintage expressions designed for year-over-year consistency, the Vintage Brut is crafted only in exceptional harvest years to showcase the unique personality of a single vintage. Relying heavily on Pinot Noir from Grand and Premier Crus alongside Chardonnay, this Champagne undergoes extended lees aging far exceeding the legal 36-month minimum requirement for vintage Champagne. The result is a vibrant sparkling wine defined by crisp acidity, white peach, toasted brioche, and a distinct chalky mineral core.
🍾 About the Producer
Founded in 1785 by Florens-Louis Heidsieck in Reims, Piper-Heidsieck is one of the oldest and most prestigious Champagne houses in France. Built upon a legacy of royal patronage—famously creating a cuvée for Queen Marie Antoinette—the house later cemented its historic identity through the partnership of Christian Heidsieck and Henri-Guillaume Piper. Today, under the ownership of the EPI Group, the maison is celebrated for its dynamic, Pinot Noir-dominant house style that emphasizes vibrancy, freshness, and structure. Piper-Heidsieck's portfolio, led by its signature Cuvée Brut and intensely fruit-forward Rosé Sauvage, reflects a commitment to sustainable viticulture and cellar master precision across the finest crus of Champagne.
