Rare Champagne, originally born as the prestige cuvée of Piper-Heidsieck, is a legendary sparkling wine defined by its opulence, complexity, and extraordinary longevity. First created to commemorate the exceptional 1976 vintage, its bottle is famously adorned with an intricate, gilded tiara designed by the Parisian jeweler Arthus-Bertrand—a nod to the presentation of the house's first prestige bottle to Queen Marie Antoinette in 1785. The 'Luminous' edition elevates this regal presentation with an illuminated bottle designed for exclusive celebrations. Crafted only in exceptional years, Rare is sourced from a selection of prized Grand and Premier Cru vineyards, combining the mineral precision of Chardonnay with the structured richness of Pinot Noir. It undergoes extensive cellar aging on its lees, resulting in a masterpiece of tension, exotic fruit notes, and refined autolytic complexity.
