Les Vignes Retrouvées (meaning 'the rediscovered vines') is a liquid tribute to the ancient, indigenous grape varieties of the Pyrenean foothills that were nearly lost to history. Crafted by the Plaimont cooperative in the Saint-Mont appellation of South-West France, this red expression highlights the region's unique ampelographic heritage. The grapes are sourced from vineyards planted on complex terroirs of variegated clays and limestone soils, benefiting from the cool microclimate of the Pyrenees. The wine undergoes traditional vinification with gentle extraction to preserve the bright, rustic fruit character of the local grapes, followed by aging designed to soften the robust tannins of Tannat while maintaining the fresh, spicy aromatics of Pinenc.

Plaimont blev grundlagt i 1979 under den visionære André Duboscs ledelse, da passionerede vinbønder fra Plaisance, Aignan og Saint-Mont i hjertet af Gascogne i det sydvestlige Frankrig forenede deres kræfter. I dag er kooperativet et fyrtårn for den regionale kulturarv med et særligt fokus på at genoplive og bevare sjældne, oprindelige druesorter som Tannat, Gros Manseng, Petit Manseng og Pinenc. Vinmarkerne breder sig over Pyrenæernes forbjerge og dækker historiske parceller i Saint Mont, Madiran, Pacherenc du Vic-Bilh og Côtes de Gascogne. Plaimont er anerkendt for sit alsidige og autentiske sortiment, som spænder fra sprøde, aromatiske hvidvine og livlige rosévine – herunder Fleur d'Artagnan og Saint Mont-serierne – til strukturerede, lagringsværdige rødvine og raffinerede mousserende cuvéer.
