Created to honor the British Prime Minister who famously declared of Pol Roger, 'My tastes are simple: I am easily satisfied with the best,' this cuvée is crafted only in the finest vintages. While the exact blend remains a closely guarded family secret, it is defined by a robust, structured dominance of Grand Cru Pinot Noir, balanced by the elegance of Grand Cru Chardonnay. The Vinothèque designation indicates that these precious bottles have undergone extraordinarily prolonged aging on their lees in Pol Roger's deep, cold, double-vaulted chalk cellars in Épernay, thirty meters below ground. This extended maturation imparts an unparalleled complexity, seamlessly blending fresh, vibrant acidity with rich, tertiary notes of toasted brioche, preserved citrus, honey, and roasted nuts.
