Hailing from the prestigious hills of Piedmont, Italy, this red wine represents the traditional craftsmanship of the renowned cooperative, Produttori del Barbaresco. Founded in 1958 by the local priest Don Fiorino Marengo to rescue struggling growers, the cooperative has become a global benchmark for Nebbiolo. While celebrated for their classic single-vineyard Riservas, any parcel-specific bottling like Casotto highlights the exceptional diversity of the Barbaresco appellation's clay-limestone soils. Made entirely from the noble Nebbiolo grape, the wine undergoes traditional long maceration on the skins and aging in large Slavonian oak casks. Founded in 1958 by parish priest Don Fiorino Marengo and nineteen local growers, Produttori del Barbaresco was established to revive the historic cooperative model first initiated by Domizio Cavazza in 1894 in the Langhe hills of Piedmont, Italy. Widely celebrated as one of the world's preeminent wine cooperatives, the estate unites over fifty member families dedicated exclusively to the cultivation of the Nebbiolo grape across exceptional vineyard sites.
