The Don Fiorino Riserva is a profound tribute to Don Fiorino Marengo, the visionary parish priest of Barbaresco who in 1958 gathered nineteen local growers to found the modern Produttori del Barbaresco cooperative, saving the region's viticulture from post-war economic ruin. Unlike the cooperative's famous single-vineyard Riservas, this special bottling represents a return to the historic tradition of blending Nebbiolo grapes from several of the region's premier crus, including legendary sites like Asili, Rabaja, and Montestefano. Crafted only in exceptional vintages, the wine is made from 100% Nebbiolo, undergoing traditional long maceration before aging for thirty months in large Slavonian oak casks (botti) and outstanding refinement in the bottle. The result is an incredibly complex, structured, and soulful expression of Barbaresco, balancing intense floral aromas, dark cherry fruit, earthy leather, and refined, age-worthy tannins.

Founded in 1958 by parish priest Don Fiorino Marengo and nineteen local growers, Produttori del Barbaresco was established to revive the historic cooperative model first initiated by Domizio Cavazza in 1894 in the Langhe hills of Piedmont, Italy. Widely celebrated as one of the world's preeminent wine cooperatives, the estate unites over fifty member families dedicated exclusively to the cultivation of the Nebbiolo grape across exceptional vineyard sites. Upholding steadfast traditional winemaking principles, including extended macerations and aging in large oak casks, the winery produces benchmark expressions that embody pure varietal typicity and terroir transparency.
