Named in honor of Queen Adelaide—originally Princess Adelaide of Saxe-Meiningen, whose name translates to the noble 'Adelais'—this expressive red captures the elegant, cool-climate character of the Adelaide Hills. RedHeads, true to their rebellious spirit of rescuing premium parcels of fruit, crafts this wine to showcase a harmonious balance of perfume and structure. The Adelaide Hills' elevated, undulating slopes provide the perfect cool-climate sanctuary, allowing the grapes to ripen slowly and retain their vibrant natural acidity and delicate aromatic profile. Established in 2002 in McLaren Vale by Tony Laithwaite as a collaborative studio for rebellious winemakers, RedHeads has since evolved into a state-of-the-art, eco-friendly winery located in the Barossa Valley, South Australia.
