Created in 1874 by Paul-Émile Rémy Martin, Louis XIII is an extraordinary tribute to the French monarch who first recognized Cognac as a distinct category. This legendary spirit is a masterclass in blending, uniting up to 1,200 individual eaux-de-vie sourced exclusively from the chalky, sun-drenched soils of Grande Champagne, the premier cru of the region. These precious distillates, made primarily from Ugni Blanc grapes, are aged over decades in ancient, thin-walled French oak casks known as tierçons. The Miniature houses this liquid gold in a scaled-down replica of the iconic Baccarat crystal decanter, whose design was inspired by a metal flask recovered from the 1569 Battle of Jarnac. It offers a majestic sensory journey of myrrh, honey, dried roses, plum, and honeysuckle, backed by a legendary, lingering finish.
