✨ Technical Specifications
The Louis XIII Time Collection 'Origin 1874' is a tribute to the birth of an icon. In 1874, Paul-Émile Rémy Martin created the very first decanter of Louis XIII, inspired by an ornate metal flask lost by a soldier during the Battle of Jarnac in 1569 and later unearthed in a local field. This exceptional Cognac is sourced exclusively from Grande Champagne, the premier cru of the region, renowned for its chalky soils that yield eaux-de-vie of unparalleled aging potential. A masterfully orchestrated blend of up to 1,200 distinct eaux-de-vie, some aged for up to a century in ancient Limousin oak tierçons, it offers a breathtaking symphony of myrrh, honey, dried roses, plum, honeysuckle, and legendary rancio. The 'Origin 1874' edition features a decanter design that replicates the original 19th-century vessel, complete with its distinctive fleur-de-lys medallions and a neck finished in white gold.
