The Robert Mondavi Winery, founded in 1966 by the legendary wine pioneer Robert Mondavi, played a monumental role in putting California wine on the global map. While Mondavi is famously celebrated for his rich Cabernet Sauvignons and innovative Fumé Blanc, the Spotlight Collection Unoaked Chardonnay represents a dedication to pure, unadorned varietal expression. Sourced from select cool-climate vineyards across California where morning fogs and ocean breezes preserve the grape's natural acidity, this wine is fermented entirely in stainless steel. By bypassing oak aging, the winemakers allow the true voice of the terroir to shine through, delivering a vibrant bouquet of crisp green apple, white peach, and bright citrus. Den visionære vinmager Robert Mondavi grundlagde Robert Mondavi Winery i Oakville i 1966 med en klar ambition: at skabe vine i Napa Valley, som kunne måle sig med verdens ypperste vinhuse. Med base i det ikoniske vineri opført i californisk missionsstil, tegnet af arkitekten Cliff May, kom huset til at spille en afgørende rolle i udviklingen af den moderne amerikanske vinindustri – ikke mindst i kraft af arbejdet med den historiske mark To Kalon Vineyard.
