Nestled in the prestigious Conca d'Oro of Castellina in Chianti, Ruffino's Santedame estate is steeped in Tuscan history and natural beauty. The estate takes its name from a 15th-century fresco of the Madonna ('Santedame') found in a historic chapel on the property. This Chianti Classico is crafted predominantly from Sangiovese, grown in soils rich in galestro and alberese. The unique microclimate of Castellina, with its warm days and cool nights, imparts a vibrant acidity and elegant structure to the wine. Aged in traditional oak casks, Santedame represents a harmonious blend of classic Tuscan winemaking heritage and refined modern elegance, showcasing bright red cherry, violet, and subtle spice notes.

Ruffino blev grundlagt i 1877 i Pontassieve nær Firenze af fætrene Ilario og Leopoldo Ruffino og har siden udviklet sig til en af de mest ikoniske ambassadører for toscansk vinavl. Vingården opnåede tidligt stor anerkendelse som officiel hofleverandør til det italienske kongehus – en hæder, der blev udødeliggjort med flagskibet Riserva Ducale, skabt i 1927 til ære for hertugen af Aosta. I dag råder Ruffino over førsteklasses vinmarker i Toscanas mest prestigefyldte appellationer, herunder Chianti Classico, Brunello di Montalcino og Bolgheri, hvor de forener klassiske regionale traditioner med innovative dyrkningsmetoder. Huset er berømt for sine mesterligt strukturerede, Sangiovese-dominerede rødvine, dynamiske Supertoscano-vine som Modus samt en række udtryksfulde hvidvine og mousserende vine, og de forbliver dedikerede til at formidle det italienske terroirs tidløse karakter og elegance.
