The Salinas Valley acts as a natural thermal engine, drawing cold marine air and fog over the vineyards daily. This unique microclimate extends the growing season, allowing the Chardonnay grapes to develop intense, concentrated flavors while retaining their signature crisp acidity. Crafted from select estate blocks, this Reserve bottling is typically barrel-fermented and aged in French oak, undergoing malolactic fermentation to achieve a luxurious, creamy texture. The result is a beautifully balanced wine that marries rich notes of toasted brioche and vanilla with vibrant citrus and stone fruit flavors, reflecting both the rugged coastal terroir and the winery's commitment to sustainable, wind-powered craftsmanship.

Scheid Vineyards blev grundlagt i 1972 af Al Scheid og er en pionervirksomhed beliggende i hjertet af Salinas Valley i Californiens Monterey County. Gennem fem årtier har den familieejede vingård udvidet sit virke til tolv unikke vinmarker, hvor man udnytter den markante, kølende havbrise fra Monterey Bay til at dyrke en bred vifte af druesorter. Vingården er dybt engageret i bæredygtighed, drives udelukkende af vedvarende vindenergi og arbejder efter strenge, certificerede bæredygtige principper. Scheid Vineyards er anerkendt for sin alsidige portefølje af levende hvid-, rød- og rosévine og fremstiller både roste enkeltdruevine på eksempelvis Cabernet Sauvignon, Albariño og Barbera samt håndværksmæssige cuvéer som deres Claret Reserve.
