Hailing from the wind-swept estate vineyards of Monterey County, Scheid Vineyards Grenache Blanc is a vibrant expression of a classic Rhône variety thriving in California's cool-climate frontier. The Salinas Valley acts as a natural wind tunnel, drawing cold air from the deep submarine canyon of Monterey Bay. This unique microclimate, characterized by morning fog and strong afternoon winds, slows ripening and allows the Grenache Blanc grapes to develop intense, concentrated flavors while retaining a brilliant, crisp acidity. Fermented primarily in stainless steel to preserve its pristine fruit character, this wine showcases the winery's dedication to sustainable farming, powered entirely by their iconic on-site wind turbine.

Scheid Vineyards blev grundlagt i 1972 af Al Scheid og er en pionervirksomhed beliggende i hjertet af Salinas Valley i Californiens Monterey County. Gennem fem årtier har den familieejede vingård udvidet sit virke til tolv unikke vinmarker, hvor man udnytter den markante, kølende havbrise fra Monterey Bay til at dyrke en bred vifte af druesorter. Vingården er dybt engageret i bæredygtighed, drives udelukkende af vedvarende vindenergi og arbejder efter strenge, certificerede bæredygtige principper. Scheid Vineyards er anerkendt for sin alsidige portefølje af levende hvid-, rød- og rosévine og fremstiller både roste enkeltdruevine på eksempelvis Cabernet Sauvignon, Albariño og Barbera samt håndværksmæssige cuvéer som deres Claret Reserve.
