Scheid Vineyards' Pinot Blanc is a brilliant showcase of Monterey County's cool-climate viticulture. Grown in the wind-swept, cold-soaked vineyards of the Salinas Valley—where the deep submarine canyon of Monterey Bay funnels chilly air and fog daily—this wine benefits from an exceptionally long growing season. Pinot Blanc, a genetic mutation of Pinot Noir, has a storied history in Europe but finds a unique, vibrant expression in Monterey's gravelly loam soils. Scheid utilizes gentle pressing and cold fermentation in stainless steel to preserve the grape's delicate orchard fruit aromas and bright acidity, avoiding heavy oak influence to let the pure, crisp terroir of the estate shine through.

Scheid Vineyards blev grundlagt i 1972 af Al Scheid og er en pionervirksomhed beliggende i hjertet af Salinas Valley i Californiens Monterey County. Gennem fem årtier har den familieejede vingård udvidet sit virke til tolv unikke vinmarker, hvor man udnytter den markante, kølende havbrise fra Monterey Bay til at dyrke en bred vifte af druesorter. Vingården er dybt engageret i bæredygtighed, drives udelukkende af vedvarende vindenergi og arbejder efter strenge, certificerede bæredygtige principper. Scheid Vineyards er anerkendt for sin alsidige portefølje af levende hvid-, rød- og rosévine og fremstiller både roste enkeltdruevine på eksempelvis Cabernet Sauvignon, Albariño og Barbera samt håndværksmæssige cuvéer som deres Claret Reserve.
