Hailing from the wind-swept corridors of Monterey County, Scheid Vineyards' Reserve Sauvignon Blanc is a vibrant testament to the region's unique 'thermal rainbow' microclimate. Sourced from estate-grown blocks where the chilly marine winds from Monterey Bay slow ripening, the grapes develop intense, concentrated flavors while retaining a brilliant, crisp acidity. The winemaking team carefully selects the finest lots, utilizing cold fermentation primarily in stainless steel to preserve the grape's natural vivacity, occasionally incorporating subtle lees stirring to build a rich, textured mouthfeel. This wine captures the essence of Monterey's cool-climate viticulture, offering a beautiful balance of bright citrus, exotic tropical fruit, and a distinctive mineral backbone that reflects the stony soils of the Salinas Valley.

Scheid Vineyards blev grundlagt i 1972 af Al Scheid og er en pionervirksomhed beliggende i hjertet af Salinas Valley i Californiens Monterey County. Gennem fem årtier har den familieejede vingård udvidet sit virke til tolv unikke vinmarker, hvor man udnytter den markante, kølende havbrise fra Monterey Bay til at dyrke en bred vifte af druesorter. Vingården er dybt engageret i bæredygtighed, drives udelukkende af vedvarende vindenergi og arbejder efter strenge, certificerede bæredygtige principper.
