Hailing from the steep, sun-drenched slopes of the Middle Mosel, Selbach-Oster's Riesling Trocken is a masterful expression of dry German Riesling. The Selbach family, whose winemaking roots in the region trace back to 1661, crafts this wine from 100% Riesling grapes grown on weathered Devonian slate soils. These dramatic, gravity-defying vineyards require meticulous hand-harvesting. In the cellar, the juice undergoes a slow, cool fermentation using indigenous yeasts, often utilizing traditional large oak Fuder casks alongside stainless steel.
