The Zeltinger Schlossberg Riesling Spatlese is a breathtaking expression of one of the Mosel's most dramatic grand cru vineyards. Rising steeply directly behind the village of Zeltingen, the Schlossberg vineyard is a sun-drenched amphitheater of weathered Devonian slate. Here, the Selbach family coaxes extraordinary complexity from 100% Riesling grapes. The Spatlese designation denotes a late-harvest style, where the grapes achieve optimal ripeness balanced by the cool Mosel climate. Fermented with indigenous yeasts and aged in traditional, large oak Fuder casks, this wine beautifully captures the tension between luscious sweetness and electric, mineral-driven acidity.
