Hailing from the legendary, precipitous slopes of the Zeltinger Schlossberg, the 'Bömer' parcel represents one of Selbach-Oster's crown jewels. This dry Riesling is sourced from extremely steep, south-facing vineyards composed of weathered blue Devonian slate, home to ancient, ungrafted old vines. The Selbach family, whose winemaking roots in the Mosel date back to 1661, meticulously hand-harvests these low-yielding vines. In the cellar, the juice undergoes spontaneous fermentation with wild yeasts and is aged in traditional, large oak Fuder casks. This minimal-intervention approach coaxes out a profound expression of terroir: a wine defined by its intense, smoky minerality, vibrant citrus and stone fruit core, and a structured, saline finish that speaks directly to its historic Mosel origins.
