Born from the sun-drenched vineyards of western Sicilia, Marsala carries a storied heritage popularized in 1773 by English trader John Woodhouse, who fortified the local wines with grape spirits so they would survive long sea voyages. Sperone Marsala Fine I.P. Ambra Secco honors this legendary fortified tradition under the Marsala DOC. Designated as 'Fine' for its minimum one-year wood aging and 'I.P.' (Inestimabile Particolare), this dry 'Secco' style displays a rich amber color achieved through traditional oxidative wood maturation. Crafted from classic white Sicilian varieties like Grillo, Catarratto, and Inzolia, it reveals complex layered notes of toasted almonds, dried figs, wood spice, and subtle dried citrus peel.

Founded in 1911 by Antonio Sperone in Turin, Sperone is a historic Italian wine and vermouth producer based in Mombaruzzo, in the heart of Piedmont's Asti province. Still family-owned and operated across four generations, the company blends time-honored winemaking traditions with modern technological innovations to craft an extensive range of classic Italian beverages. Sperone is particularly celebrated for its traditional aromatic Vermouth di Torino, expressive sparkling wines including Asti Spumante and Prosecco, and fine Piedmontese still wines such as Barbera d'Asti and Barolo.
