✨ Technical Specifications
Housed in an exquisite, hand-crafted Arita-yaki porcelain decanter, this rare millennium release from Suntory represents a fusion of traditional Japanese ceramic artistry and master blending. Arita ware, originating from the Saga Prefecture in the early 17th century, is celebrated for its delicate white porcelain and intricate hand-painted designs. To mark the turn of the millennium in 2000, Suntory selected some of its finest aged malt and grain whiskies from its legendary distilleries, such as Yamazaki and Hakushu, to create a harmonious blend. This collector's piece showcases the Japanese philosophy of 'Monozukuri' (the art of handcrafting) and 'Wa' (harmony), which is reflected both in the elegant liquid and the stunning ceramic vessel.
🍾 About the Producer
Founded in 1899 by Shinjiro Torii in Osaka, Japan, Suntory began as a small wine merchant before revolutionizing the beverage industry by pioneering authentic Japanese whisky with the opening of the Yamazaki Distillery in 1923. Guided by the visionary spirit of 'Yatte Minahare'—to dream big and embrace bold challenges—the house developed a philosophy centered on refined craftsmanship and deep reverence for nature. Over the decades, Suntory expanded into a global powerhouse, extending its expertise into premium wine, gin, liqueurs, and international spirits through strategic acquisitions across Scotland, Europe, and North America. Today, the producer is celebrated worldwide for its iconic, harmonious expressions, particularly the globally acclaimed Hibiki blended whisky series, distinguished single malts, and a diverse range of finely balanced spirits.
