Suntory's 'Royal' line holds a legendary place in Japanese spirits history. Originally created in 1960 by Shinjiro Torii, the founding father of Japanese whisky, to celebrate the company's 60th anniversary, it represents the ultimate culmination of his blending philosophy. The bottle's distinctive shape is famously inspired by the traditional torii gates of the Yamazaki Shinto Shrine. This premium 15-Year-Old blended expression, highly sought after by collectors, showcases a masterfully balanced marriage of aged malt whiskies from the historic Yamazaki and Hakushu distilleries alongside clean grain whiskies from Chita. Suntory blev grundlagt i 1899 af Shinjiro Torii i Osaka, Japan. Huset startede oprindeligt som en beskeden vinhandel, men revolutionerede siden drikkevareverdenen, da de i 1923 grundlagde Yamazaki Distillery og dermed banede vejen for autentisk japansk whisky.
