Suntory's 'Royal' line holds a sacred place in the history of Japanese spirits. Originally blended in 1960 by legendary founder Shinjiro Torii to celebrate the company's 60th anniversary, it was his final masterpiece, designed to appeal to the sophisticated palate of Japanese drinkers. The 15-Year-Old expression represents an elevated, highly aged variation of this historic blend. Composed of premium malt and grain whiskies sourced primarily from Suntory's flagship Yamazaki and Hakushu distilleries, it is aged in a variety of casks, including Spanish oak sherry butts and American white oak. The bottle's distinctive shape is inspired by the torii gates of Yamazaki Tenmangu Shrine, symbolizing the gateway to Japanese craftsmanship. It offers a rich profile of dried fruits, sandalwood, subtle Mizunara oak influence, and a gentle, sweet smoke.
