✨ Technical Specifications

Suntory's Royal Blended Whisky is a historic expression first created in 1960 by the company's legendary founder, Shinjiro Torii, to mark Suntory's 60th anniversary. This highly collectible 2018 'Year of the Dog' edition is part of Suntory's celebrated annual Zodiac series, which began in the 1980s. Each year, Suntory releases a limited-run, hand-painted ceramic decanter shaped like the corresponding Lunar New Year zodiac animal. The porcelain vessel contains Suntory's premium Royal blend, a harmonious marriage of malt and grain whiskies sourced from the historic Yamazaki and Hakushu distilleries. Known for its elegant profile, the blend offers notes of dried fruits, rich oak, and subtle sweet spice, reflecting the pinnacle of Japanese blending craftsmanship.

🍾 About the Producer

Founded in 1899 by Shinjiro Torii in Osaka, Japan, Suntory began as a small wine merchant before revolutionizing the beverage industry by pioneering authentic Japanese whisky with the opening of the Yamazaki Distillery in 1923. Guided by the visionary spirit of 'Yatte Minahare'—to dream big and embrace bold challenges—the house developed a philosophy centered on refined craftsmanship and deep reverence for nature. Over the decades, Suntory expanded into a global powerhouse, extending its expertise into premium wine, gin, liqueurs, and international spirits through strategic acquisitions across Scotland, Europe, and North America. Today, the producer is celebrated worldwide for its iconic, harmonious expressions, particularly the globally acclaimed Hibiki blended whisky series, distinguished single malts, and a diverse range of finely balanced spirits.
