✨ Technical Specifications

Distilled in 1985 and bottled in 2013, this rare 27-year-old single malt represents a historic moment in the legacy of the Isle of Skye's oldest distillery. Matured for nearly three decades in refill American oak casks, this expression showcases how time and the rugged, salty winds of the Atlantic coast can soften Talisker's legendary fiery peat and black pepper into an elegant, multi-layered masterpiece. The traditional wooden worm tubs used during distillation preserve a rich, oily texture that carries notes of maritime brine, sweet citrus peel, gentle bonfire smoke, and a sophisticated, warming spice finish. It is a liquid chronicle of Skye's dramatic terroir, captured at the absolute peak of its maturation.

🍾 About the Producer

Founded in 1830 by brothers Hugh and Kenneth MacAskill on the windswept shores of Loch Harport in Carbost, Talisker is the oldest operating distillery on the Isle of Skye. The distillery is celebrated for its unique distillation setup, featuring swan-neck wash stills and traditional outdoor worm tubs, which impart a signature maritime and volcanic intensity to the new-make spirit. Today part of Diageo's Classic Malts portfolio, Talisker maintains an uncompromising dedication to crafting robust, peated single malt Scotch whiskies. Its flagship style is revered across the globe for its harmonious interplay of coastal salinity, rich peat smoke, dried fruit richness, and an unmistakable fiery black pepper finish.
