Talisker's Distillers Edition represents a masterful marriage of rugged maritime peat and luscious Spanish sherry sweetness. Distilled on the windswept Isle of Skye, this single malt undergoes a secondary maturation in casks that previously held Amoroso, a rich and sweetened style of Oloroso sherry. This double maturation tempers Talisker's trademark explosive black pepper, coastal brine, and intense peat smoke with deep, velvety notes of dried fruits, dark chocolate, and roasted nuts. Founded in 1830 by brothers Hugh and Kenneth MacAskill on the windswept shores of Loch Harport in Carbost, Talisker is the oldest operating distillery on the Isle of Skye.
