The Talisker Distillers Edition represents a masterful marriage of rugged coastal peat and luscious Spanish sherry wood. Double matured, this expression takes the classic, peppery, and maritime Isle of Skye single malt and finishes it in casks that previously held Amoroso—a rich, sweetened Oloroso sherry. This specific release, bottled in 2002 under the batch code TD-S: 5DP, showcases how the intense sea-salt spray, medicinal peat smoke, and trademark cracked black pepper of Talisker are beautifully rounded by notes of dark chocolate, raisins, and sweet peat. The traditional worm tubs used at the Carbost distillery preserve a heavy, oily texture that carries these complex, contrasting flavors across the palate with remarkable depth.

Talisker blev grundlagt i 1830 af brødrene Hugh og Kenneth MacAskill ved de vindblæste bredder af Loch Harport i Carbost og er det ældste aktive destilleri på Isle of Skye.
