Talisker Glacial Edge 45 Year Old is a monumental release from the Isle of Skye's oldest distillery, representing a masterful fusion of extreme age and innovative wood finishing. This ultra-rare single malt was matured for over four decades before undergoing a pioneering finish in heavily charred American oak casks that were transported to the frozen wilderness of Canada. Exposed to sub-zero temperatures, the wood naturally fractured, allowing the whisky to penetrate deeper into the oak during its final maturation. The result is an incredibly complex spirit that marries Talisker's signature maritime peat smoke, brine, and fiery black pepper with rich, sweet notes of dark toffee, tropical fruit, and exotic spices, all delivered with an exceptionally oily and velvety texture.

Founded in 1830 by brothers Hugh and Kenneth MacAskill on the windswept shores of Loch Harport in Carbost, Talisker is the oldest operating distillery on the Isle of Skye.
