The Talisker 8 Year Old holds a legendary status among Scotch whisky historians and collectors. Long before the 10 Year Old became the distillery's flagship expression in the late 1980s, the 8 Year Old was the classic representation of Isle of Skye's rugged, wind-whipped terroir. This historical bottling captures the raw, untamed spirit of the distillery's coastal home, shaped by the dramatic storms of the Inner Hebrides. Distilled using Talisker's unique five-still setup and traditional wooden worm tubs, this expression is celebrated for its intense maritime character. Founded in 1830 by brothers Hugh and Kenneth MacAskill on the windswept shores of Loch Harport in Carbost, Talisker is the oldest operating distillery on the Isle of Skye.
