The Talisker 25 Year Old Bottled in 2001 is a legendary release in the history of the Isle of Skye's oldest distillery. Distilled in the mid-1970s and matured for a quarter of a century in refill casks, this limited edition was bottled at a natural cask strength of 57.5% ABV, capturing the raw, untamed spirit of the Skye coastline before later annual releases were standardized at lower strengths. The maritime climate of Carbost deeply infuses the spirit during its long slumber, marrying Talisker's signature fiery black pepper and intense peat smoke with softened, elegant notes of wax, brine, dried fruits, and old oak.
